Tooling Engineer [Belgium]


 ABOUT THE JOB

As a Tooling Engineer, you will be responsible for efficiency and compliance within tooling control.

Your responsibilities are:
  • In support of the TUI E&M Tooling Engineer and Production Control you will ensure GSE and tooling is correctly maintained and available across the group IAW EASA and HSE regulations.
  • You will liaise with and support the Supply Chain staff across the 5 TUI airlines promoting tool harmonisation to reduce unnecessary duplication across the group.
  • Agree timelines with base and line maintenance for the calibration of tooling and the inspections of GSE.
  • Attend meetings as required with key tooling & GSE suppliers to review performance
  • Support in reviewing quotes and invoices as required to agree costs and identify compliance issues.
  • Provide guidance to purchasing whether to procure new and/or replacement tooling or GSE.
  • Responsible for efficiency, harmonisation and compliance within tooling control.
  • Physically assess tooling when required before shipment to a supplier for repair.
ABOUT YOU

You have: A minimum five-year background in aviation Stores, Tooling & GSE support Good knowledge and understanding of Boeing tooling requirements and Boeing manuals Good knowledge of safety requirements around working at height, LOLER and equipment maintenance
Strong IT skills and knowledge of engineering systems
Excellent communication, presentational and negotiation skills
Understanding of Human Factors within the maintenance environment
Demonstrable capability of effective performance management
Strong communicator and negotiator
General financial and commercial acumen
