DCS Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with proficiency in a wide range of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium/High Voltage (MV/HV) equipment.
As a part of our design team for Low Voltage (LV) and Medium/High Voltage (MV/HV) projects, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Engineer to discuss design intricacies and integration;
- Assist Subcontractors to ensure the Electrical equipment is wired in accordance with manufacturers' recommendation;
- Ensure the projects are delivered according to the DCS design as detailed;
- Promptly report identified design discrepancies, errors, or concerns to the team;
- Offer insightful input for enhancing project aspects and optimizing processes;
- Monitor installation quality, compiling snagging lists for corrective actions.
- Review the Low Voltage (LV) switch panel compliance with specified LV Switchboard specifications and Single Line diagram.
To be successful you'll need:
- 3-5+ years of solid on-site experience as a project or commissioning engineer in low-voltage industrial plants, ideally with a focus on data centers;
- Proficiency in operating electrical safe systems of work, including lockout-tagout procedures;
- In-depth understanding of low-voltage (LV) components and systems, encompassing switchboards, generators (including Diesel), UPS systems, pumps, motors, cable networks, containment, transformers, and more;
- Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier Topology is desirable;
- Practical experience in implementing control systems to manage industrial processes;
- Experience in installation and commissioning of high-voltage (HV) systems;
- Ability to work with electrical systems related to mechanical plants;
- A formal degree or significant experience in Electrical Engineering is required;
- Native-level fluency in both written and spoken English;
- Experience in Design and project management;
- Self-motivated individual with strong teamwork abilities;
- Creative and innovative mindset, capable of thinking outside the box;
- Positive and flexible attitude, committed to completing tasks effectively;
